3 Rivers 2nd Nature: research process and community dialogue
Reiko picked up on her partnership with Tim and the ‘inquiry based teaching and learning’ process their project had developed, but underlined that their real partnership was with nature. Her presentation became a moving performance through which she explained how curiosity led to observation and then the making process generated the hypothesis, subsequent investigation, evaluation and final synthesis to presentation. The presence of wildness in the cultural landscape brought one to understand the ‘entire community of nature’, including the spirit, the breath… the river’s breath.
Since Evolving the Future, Reiko and Tim presented a seminal ecological arts exhibition, ‘Ground Work’ in Pittsburgh.
